Super-DX and ASP (Digital Audio Signal Processor)

• Super-DX : When the received signal is weak, the sensitivity of the RF amplifier can be increased by activating the Super-DX function, both in C4FM digital mode and in FM analog mode.

• ASP (Audio Digital Signal Processor) : In analog FM mode, ASP can also be activated in addition to Super-DX. By digitally processing the received FM audio to eliminate unwanted noise, ASP ensures reliable and comfortable audio quality, even for weak signals, helping to extend the communication range.

  • AUTO ASP Mode : This mode allows automatic activation of the ASP as soon as the transceiver detects weak signals in FM analog mode.

Displaying Super-DX and ASP

• The manual activation/deactivation status of Super-DX and ASP is indicated on the screen.
• In ASP AUTO mode, the display automatically shows ASP on/off based on weak signal detection.

PMG and MAG improvements for intuitive use

The FTM-510DE ASP benefits from improvements in the PMG (Primary Memory Group) and MAG (Memory Auto Grouping) functions for a smoother user experience.

PMG (Main Memory Group)

• Up to 5 VFO or memory frequencies can be assigned to the PMG and monitored.
• The reception status of PMG channels is displayed as colored bars (orange/gray) on the PMG screen.
• When the signal disappears, the bar changes from orange to gray in real time.
• New feature of the FTM-510DE ASP : the gray bars (historically received signals) automatically disappear after 2 seconds of no signal. On the FTM-500DE, they remain displayed until manually removed via the DIAL knob.

PMG Operating Modes

FTM-510DE ASP (PMG Update)

• AUTO mode

  • PMG channels are analyzed continuously.
  • Up to two active channels can be received and listened to simultaneously.
  • Transmission is performed automatically on the receiving channel.

• MANUAL mode

  • The PMG channel selected for transmission is always scanned and received.
  • Other PMG channels are also scanned and can be received simultaneously.
  • The transmission channel is selected by rotating the DIAL knob or by directly touching the corresponding bar on the screen.

MAG (Automatic Memory Grouping)

In addition to the memories that can be recalled for each band, the FTM-510DE ASP introduces the new "My Group (M-GRP)" function, allowing any memory channel to be selected, regardless of the band .

Bluetooth options

The FTM-510DE ASP does not have a built-in Bluetooth module.
However, installing the optional BU-5 Bluetooth® module allows hands-free use with the SSM-BT20 or any other compatible Bluetooth® accessory.
